This vital role is responsible for representing the County in a broad range of legal matters, including litigation, administrative hearings, and family court. The Assistant County Attorney also prepares contracts, local laws, resolutions, legal opinions, and supports real estate and collections work on behalf of the Tompkins County Legislature and all County departments.

This is a lateral transfer opportunity. In order to be eligible, you must be permanent and past probation in the title of Caseworker. Vacancies occur regularly in the title of Caseworker in the Tompkins County Social Services and Mental Health departments. In this new and impactful role, the clinician will support justice-involved individuals with mental health needs by coordinating voluntary care, conducting intake assessments, and ensuring seamless engagement in community-based services. Tompkins County is expanding its in-house therapy team and now hiring part-time Physical Therapists to support young children in the Early Intervention Program. These flexible positions will focus on providing home-based physical therapy services and evaluations for infants and toddlers currently on the waitlist for care.

Location of Position:

The Healthy Neighborhoods Program (HNP) of Tompkins County Whole Health promotes healthy and safe homes. Staff conduct home visits, which include an indoor environmental assessment, focusing on asthma issues, tobacco use, and other hazards in the home. The program provides free safety products and information.

A successful candidate will have good communication skills, experience with community outreach, and exhibit?initiative to build awareness about this program. The position is for the summer and fall months and schedule is flexible (P/T) at an hourly rate of $22/hr.

This is a regular, part-time position in the Town of Lansing's Town Clerk office. Typical hours will be 15-20 hours per week, with additional hours required during high peak seasons such as Tax Collection months (December & January).

Successful candidate must have experience using office equipment such as calculators, adding machines, copiers, and desktop computers including an intermediate level of proficiency with software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
