QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE FOR TAKING THE PROMOTIONAL EXAMINATION:

This departmental promotion examination is limited to current employees of the Tompkins County Public Works department who currently hold, and have continuously held, at least 24 months of permanent non-competitive class status in the title of Carpenter, Facilities Shopkeeper, or Maintenance Mechanic.  This promotion list will be used ONLY for the Tompkins County Public Works department.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1.  Must possess and maintain a valid New York State drivers' license with a clear driving record.

2.  Within eighteen months of provisional appointment candidate will successfully complete maintenance training modules.
